From what I understand the election process for Democrats in Iowa is quite the event. In Iowa they vote by means of the caucus, and, for the Democrats, each person votes by standing in a designated area.
One area is designated for this candidate and another area is designated for that candidate, and so on. So, when they vote, they vote with their feet.
A friend of mine once said that if you are going to lose your salvation, you’ll lose it in Hebrews 6.
There is no doubt that these 5 verses are the most haunting of all Scripture. When you read them you can’t help but feel uneasy. It is talking about someone who commits the unpardonable sin. There is a bit of finality when it says that once “he falls away it is impossible to restore them to repentance.”
It has been said that the heart of the human problem is the problem of the human heart. There is something dysfunctional about man. Man is by virtue of the fall, a sinner and he is in need of redemption.
If there is one thing that was respectable about the old Judaism, it was that they recognized this. Most religions today do not. By most accounts, most view man as mainly good. If there is anything wrong with him, it can be corrected with just a little teaching.
In our study we’ve been constantly moving closer and closer to the Holy of Holies. You might say that we started in the outer most regions. We began by talking about how Christ is greater than angels. Then we talked about how Christ was greater than Moses. After that we began talking about the Priests. Last week, we entered into the Tabernacle. And you might say we opened the veil and were allowed to peer into the innermost sanctuary.
